Vacation Bible School – Alaska – 2006

The servant groug just returned from Anderson, Alaska. Anderson is about one hour’s drive
south of Fairbanks. The dates were July 24-28. Tasks included music, crafts, Bible stories, snacks, providing driving, and food service for the team. This was a wonderful way to share God’s love with the children of Alaska. If you are interested in this kind of mission opportunity for next year, contact Jon at the church office.

More about past mission trips within the United States:

October of 2003
A servant group went to Kearney, Nebraska to help paint the exterior of the University Lutheran Center at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. The Lutheran Center is a religious life center for college students at UNK.

September of 2001
A servant group went to the Omaha Indian Reservation in northeast Nebraska to complete some construction projects to enhance the ministries of Pastor Jeff Warner.

Fall of 2000
A servant group from Trinity went to Northside Lutheran Church in Omaha to help with some renovations to the church. Northside is a mission church among the black community in Omaha.

Summer 1999
Five men from Trinity traveled to rebuild damaged buildings as part of Wichita, Kansas Disaster Recovery after a tornado devastated the area.

During the summers of 1999 - 2002, groups have gone to Anchorage, twice to Juneau, and the village of Gulkana.

Alaska
In the past Trinity has sent 5 groups to Alaska to work for the Alaska Mission Committee of our church to share Jesus through Vacation Bible School with the native children of Alaska. Groups have gone once to Anchorage and twice to Juneau and once to Gulkana. In the summer of 2001 our group was the team leader of a multi-state group of missionaries.
